At the selection event, each finalist’s story will be read aloud. Then, the crowd and anyone nationwide can vote by text message to select the winner during a 60-minute period. Thousands of families were effected by September's flood in and around metro-Atlanta. Sports Avenue at Underground Atlanta is collecting canned goods, school supplies, diapers & formula, toiletries, and linens through October 10. Drop off your donations at Sports Avenue, Mon-Sat 10am-8pm or Sun 11pm-6pm. Sports Aveune is located inside of Underground Atlanta, near the food court.
