 Underground Atlanta is proud to announce the young country sensation Miranda Lambert as the headline entertainer for Peach Drop 2008, Underground Atlanta’s one day New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31st! Lambert’s newest CD “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” has been burning up the country charts with hits such as “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”, “Famous in a Small Town” and “Easy From Now On”. The 23 year old Texas native has been nominated for several awards since her professional career began in 2005 and she continues to appeal to the masses with her melodious voice and catchy tunes. Prior to the main stage line up at Peach Drop enjoy food & beverage vendors and children’s activities such as face painting, games, moonwalks and more! Local engineers and architects put their talents to the test in this competition to create the most elaborate and detailed sculpture made of CANS! AIA Atlanta and Atlanta SDA organize this free annual event benefiting the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Local winners are decided by a panel of judges. Local winners will go on to the national competition. The public sculpture viewing is free of charge and will take please throughout the property. As the Christmas season quickly approaches, we are preparing to host Tuba Christmas, an annual Atlanta tradition among many locals. Over 200 tuba players serenade shoppers and downtown workers with Christmas classics. Instruments are decorated and tuba players come dressed in festive holiday wear.
