Underground Atlanta Educational Programs

 Advanced History Program: This program makes a field trip or group visit to Underground Atlanta a “one stop shop”. The Advanced History Program includes the Guided History Tour (details below), one food court voucher for each person (voucher valued at $6.50 per person) and Underground Atlanta Scavenger Hunt. $13.00 per person (save $1.50 per person), reservation only. 

Guided Walking Tours: “From Civil War to Civil Rights”: This guided walking tour last approximately 45 minutes.  One of our historians will lead your group to 11 different historical sites, noting facts and interesting tidbits on the history of Underground and the city of Atlanta. The cost is $6.00 per person or $5.00 for groups of 10 or more, reservation only for groups. 

*Fri. & Sat. regular hours are 11a.m, 1p.m. and 3p.m. Sunday 1 p.m. & 3p.m. only (No reservation needed for individuals at these times). As of October 1, 2009 the walk up tours will discontinue until February 2010. Reservations will be needed for anyone until February 2010. 

Rita's Ice Tour: Come get a behind-the-scences look at how Rita's delicious ice is made! And after you witness the magic...you can sample some of the icy treats! This tour is available for just $3 more when you purchase the Guided History Tour!

Scavenger Hunt: The scavenger hunt is the perfect add-on or solo activity! Groups can work in teams or all together to collect clue after clue, leading them to different historical landmarks within Underground Atlanta. This is a fun and interactive approach to a history lesson. At the end, each person is rewarded with a small prize. The cost is $2.00 per person, reservation only.
